Bishop "Mike" was ordained a priest in 1965, ordained Auxiliary Bishop of Orange County in 1990, and installed as Bishop of Boise in March 1999. Bishop Mike earned a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California in 1975 and then directed the Catholic Charities until his appointment to Boise. He served on the Catholic Charities USA Board for six years, and continues to serve on the CCUSA Disaster Board. He also serves on the National Catholic Office for Persons with Disabilities, the Migration Committee and the CLINIC Board with the National Conference of Catholic Bishops, and the Domestic Policy Committee for the United States Catholic Conference. For relaxation, Bishop Mike enjoys Idaho fishing.
Msgr. Andy Schumacher, Chair

Msgr. Andy Schumacher has served the Diocese of Boise since 1960, after he returned from studies and ordination in Rome. In addition to parish pastoral service, he has served on numerous diocesan commissions and planning committees, such as Liturgy, Presbyteral Council, Personnel, Priestly Life and Ministry; and he has served as Diocesan Director of Campus Ministry. Additionally, he served on the Board of Directors of St. Joseph Hospital, Lewiston, and has served on the Development Committee for St. Gertrude’s Monastery. In his application materials, Fr. Andy states: “My interest in Catholic Charities goes back to the time of Bishop Treinen. At that time I urged Bishop Treinen to establish a Catholic Charities in the Diocese because I believed strongly that Catholic Charities is one of the PRIMARY works of the Catholic Church”. quot;
John Fiedler, Vice-Chair

John Fiedler’s thirty-five year professional as a survey analyst began in 1969 at the Leo Burnett Company in Chicago. During his tenure at Burnett he held three research management positions: Vice President - Group Research Director, Director of International Research, and Director of Copy and Creative Research Services. From 1980 to 1984 Mr. Fiedler served as Executive Vice President at Ted Bates Advertising, at that time the world's third largest advertising agency. Subsequently, John served in Washington DC as Director of Communications Research for the 1984 Reagan-Bush campaign. Lesley and John started their own market research consultancy in 1984 in Greenwich CT and in 1990 relocated the company to Boise County. John is widely recognized as a thoughtful analyst and a persuasive presenter. He has presented the results of his research to senior management at many Fortune 100 companies, in over twenty countries, and to three U.S. presidents. John is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison (1965) and holds master's degrees from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business (1969) and from Loyola University New Orleans (2000). John and his wife, Lesley Bahner, live in east Boise County and are active members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Idaho City. John was active in prison ministry at the Idaho Correctional Institute from 2000 through 2010. John served for twelve years on the board of Plan USA (formerly Foster Parents Plan) and was chair of its Audit and Development Committees as well as a member of its Executive Committee. Volunteer projects for Plan took Lesley and John to Honduras, Guatemala, Colombia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
Monique Lillard, Secretary
Moscow
Monique Lillard came to Idaho in 1987 to teach law at the University of Idaho in Moscow. She is a graduate of Stanford University and UCLA School of Law. Monique teaches torts, workplace law, and remedies. She converted to the Catholic Church in 1993, the same year she married her husband, Duncan Palmatier. She is active in St. Mary’s parish in Moscow, and also maintains ties to St. Augustine’s Church which serves the University of Idaho. Her interests include choral music as well as her two beautiful sons.
Kate Aravich
Boise
Kate Aravich has been actively involved in St. Mark’s School, serving as Development Director for five years and as President of St. Mark’s Home & School Association for two years. Her prior work includes Marketing Manager for Ore-Ida Foods, Division of Heinz Corporation, marketing positions with packaging companies (Kerr Group, West Co., Cornerboard, Inc.) and Public Relations Account Exec for a resort in Pennsylvania. Other professional affiliations include Junior Achievement Volunteer Teacher and former Girl Scout leader for nine years. Kate is a member of St. Mark’s Parish in Boise, serving on the Parish Stewardship Council. She is married to Rob Aravich, and they have one daughter, Dani, who is currently attending Bishop Kelly High School. In her spare time, Kate enjoys reading, writing, photography and scrapbooking.
Barbara J. Aston
Moscow
Barbara Aston is employed at Washington State University as Special Assistant to the Provost/Tribal Liaison, working with the American Indian tribes in the region. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Studies from Washington State University and a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University, New Orleans, through the LIMEX program. She has been actively involved in parish and diocesan volunteer service since becoming Catholic in l974, serving on various parish committees, including parish council, parish representative to North Central Deanery Council, and deanery representative to the Diocesan Pastoral Council. She served on the Diocesan Pastoral Council for approximately five years as President. Barbara is currently serving on the Catholic Charities USA Committee for the Advancement of Racial Equality. Most recently, she was selected to serve as the lay woman representative for the Northwest Region to the USCCB National Advisory Committee. Barbara is a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Moscow where she resides with her husband Earl. She is an enrolled member of the Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma, but has lived in Idaho all of her life and was born and raised in Southern Idaho near Twin Falls. Barbara moved to Rupert where she lived with her husband and children for ten years before moving to Northern Idaho in 1984. She has four children and eight grandchildren. Her main interests include spiritual formation, education, child and family welfare, and social justice.
Bruce Belzer
Boise
Bruce Belzer, MD is a Family Practice Physician at Primary Health Medical Group’s State Street Clinic in Boise. Dr. Belzer graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Family Practice Residency of Idaho in Boise. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the Ada County Medical Society, American Academy of Family Physicians, Idaho Academy of Family Physicians, and Idaho State Bar Association. He also serves on the Idaho Medical Association Board of Trustees as an elected Trustee from Ada County. Prior to earning his medical degree in 1998, Dr. Belzer was a practicing attorney with JR Simplot Company. He earned his law degree from Notre Dame. Bruce and his wife Suzan have 3 adult daughters. Jennifer, McKenna and Alison all graduated from Bishop Kelly High School where they were each active in sports and other school and scholastic activities. Bruce and his family are members of St. Mark’s Parish. They enjoy spending time together outdoors, including boating, hiking, skiing, hunting and fishing.
Allan Bosch

Allan R. Bosch, J.D., C.P.A., A.P.A. is licensed to practice law in Idaho and is a Certified Public Accountant and an Accredited Pension Administrator. His practice emphasizes fringe benefits, qualified retirement plans, tax-exempt organizations, estate planning, and federal and state taxation. Mr. Bosch graduated from the University of North Dakota magna cum laude, and obtained his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law. Prior to forming Capitol Law Group, PLLC, Mr. Bosch was a founding member of Bosch, Daw & Ballard, Chartered, and before that a Senior Tax Manager for Touche Ross & Co. in Boise. He is the author of various tax-related articles in several professional publications. He is a member of the Idaho State Bar Association, the Nebraska State Bar Association, the National Lawyers Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Boise Estate Planning Council (President, 1996-1997), the National Institute of Pension Administrators-Idaho Chapter (President 1998-1999), National Institute of Pension Administrators, Program Committee (22nd and 23rd Annual Conference), and other professional organizations. He is a member of the Boise Metro Rotary Club (President 1994-1995), and the Board of Directors of Boise Housing Corporation and the Idaho Youth Ranch, and is active in other civic and charitable organizations.
Michael Brady

Michael Brady graduated from the University of Idaho (B.A. 1968 and J.D. 1970), and is a practicing Boise attorney since 1970. Mike is a member of Phi Alpha Delta. He was Assistant Attorney General for the State of Idaho from 1970 1971. In 1994, Michael was a visiting professor at the University of Idaho Law School, teaching "Insurance Law." Mike is a member of the American Bar Association – Tort and Insurance Law Subsection; Idaho Association of Defense Counsel; American and Idaho Trial Lawyers Associations; Defense Research Institute, Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.; American Arbitration Association; Idaho Mediation Association; Boise Adjustor's Association; and Idaho Tort Reform Coalition Committee. Mike has an "AV" Rating in the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory. He is also admitted to practice law in Oregon, Utah and Washington. Mike is a St. John’s Parish member since 1969. He served for a time as a member of St. John’s Parish Council. Mike is married to Kathleen Brady, and they have five children: Michaelina Brady Murphy, Fr. Justin Brady, Morgan Brady, Mischa Brady, and Micah Brady. Michael and Kathleen have two grandchildren, Megan and Matthew Murphy.
Kevin Jones

Kevin Jones has been the Principal at Harmonic Investment Advisors since November 2008. Prior to this, he was C.O.O. and C.I.O at D.B. Fitzpatrick & Company from January 2006 to October 2008; and was Sr. Vice-President and Sr. Portfolio Manager for JCM Asset Management from January 1993 to June 2005. Kevin is a member of the CFA Society of Idaho. Kevin sits on the Finance Council for St. John’s Parish, and also serves on the BSU College of Business & Economics Advisory Council. Kevin Jones and his wife, Colleen, are members of St. John’s Parish. They have four children: Analiese, Patrick, Christopher, and Sean. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, golf and gardening.
Lucy Olmos
Boise
Lucy Olmos is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Boise State University. She is currently serving as chairman of the CCI Finance Committee. Lucy has filled various accounting and management roles during the last thirteen years of her accounting career. Through her career and volunteer work, she enjoys the opportunity to promote diversity and assist the Hispanic community. This is something she’s always had a passion for along with sharing her faith with others. Alongside her husband, Gustavo, Lucy’s most important role is raising her four children (Christopher, Gabriela, Annabel and Mikaela). Lucy and her family are members of the St. Mark’s Catholic Community in Boise. Lucy and Gustavo joined the St. Mark’s community in 2001 when they also became core members of the Life Teen youth group. After participating in youth ministry for almost five years, Lucy continued to stay active in various ministries such as Council of Catholic Women, Latino Ministry, young adult ministry, elementary education, and Small Faith Community. Lucy recently joined a local LIFT-ID group (Ladies in Faith Together) and her family continues to participate in various ministries at St. Mark’s. Lucy and her husband are members of the Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association where they participate in events to promote down syndrome awareness. Lucy enjoys staying active with her family by playing soccer and participating in various running events.
Fred Sica

Fred Sica is currently the Regional Executive Director for Better Business Bureau. He has also served as Director of Business & Research Development – Inland Northwest Research Alliance, and as Executive Director for Henry’s Fork Foundation. Fred is a member of the Rotary-Downtown Idaho Falls and sits on the Mayor’s Council on Business in Idaho Falls. Fred Sica and his wife, Kate, live in Shelley, Idaho. They have three children (Andrea, Brian and Gene) and five grandchildren (Emma, Bella, Jagger, Kole and Gavin). Fred is a licensed Idaho fishing guide, and loves tying his own flies. Fred states that “his dog Cooper is a much better hunter than he is but he lets Fred tag along anyway!”
Pam Thomas

Pam Thomas has been employed as Vice-President of Mission Integration for St. Alphonsus Health System in Boise since August 2010 where she is responsible for the oversight of the integration of mission, values and Catholic identity into the strategic plan, structures and operations of the hospital and health system. Prior to this position, she worked in various capacities as a consultant in leadership and organizational development as well as a business owner/partner. Pam currently sits on the Board of Directors for Opera Idaho. Pam received a Master of Divinity in 1998, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1993 from University of Notre Dame . Pam and her husband Brian live in the North End with their two dogs and two cats. They love the outdoors and any activity in it, especially mountain biking and snow boarding. Pam is a member of St. John’s Parish.
Jim Tomlinson

Jim Tomlinson, the past CEO and principal of all affiliates of Tomlinson & Associates, Inc., was actively involved in the development, acquisition and management of investment real estate since 1969. Since 1982, his firm successfully developed, or acquired and renovated, many diverse real estate projects, including office, retail and warehouse properties and over 100 multi-family projects totaling over 7,000 units.. Jim serves as the President of Boise Housing Corporation, a non-profit company responsible for the acquisition and rehabilitation of 35 projects in Idaho and Oregon, and the multi-family housing development of the Oak Park Village and River Plaza projects in Boise. Because of the success of these mixed-use developments, Jim and Tomlinson & Associates were awarded Boise’s first “Good Works” award for small business as well as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Vision 2000 national award for excellence in state and local small business efforts. Tomlinson & Associates was recognized as the State and Regional Corporate Partner of the Year in 2000 and as the National Partner of the Year in 2001 by the National Head Start Association for its involvement in the development of Head Start classrooms in Boise’s neighborhoods. In addition, Jim and Tomlinson & Associates in 2001 were picked as the Outstanding Commercial Idaho Real Estate Company, a designation which is awarded every two years.Jim Tomlinson and his wife Sheryl live in Boise; they have two adult children, Richard and Greg.
Marcie Wilske, Minister of Charities

Marcie Wilske currently serves as Chancellor/Pastoral Center Director for the Diocese of Boise. Marcie has served in a variety of parish ministry positions in the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. She has extensive experience as a Director of Religious Education, Director of Youth and Adult Ministries, RCIA Coordinator, Music Minister, Parish Social Minister, and Pastoral Associate. Marcie also served as the Parish Social Ministry Coordinator for Catholic Charities of Idaho for three years. Marcie holds a Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Theology from St. Mary’s University in Kansas. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies and a Master of Science degree in Church Management from Villanova University.
