Domestic Violence & Family Immigration Legal Services

CCI provides immigration services and representation to eligible survivors of domestic violence and witnesses of crime and helps those who are eligible to become citizens to a low cost and accredited alternative.
 

Services include:

  • Consultation - Initial intake to determine service eligibility or to review case status. 
  • Family-Based Petition - Preparation and submission of specific petitions to USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services).
  • Citizenship Class - Specialized instruction for adults who are preparing to take the U.S. Citizenship test.
  • VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) - Services provided to individuals who qualify, through the VAWA of 2005.
  • I-751 VAWA - Services to individuals, who are eligible, to remove conditions of residence under VAWA. 
  • U-Visa - Services to individuals who are certified as victims of qualifying criminal activity, and to their qualifying family members, as appropriate. 

Services vary by location.  Currently, Domestic Violence based Immigration Services are available in our Boise Family Strengthening Center.  Family based Immigration Legal Services are available in our Nampa Familiy Strengthening Center.
