Executive Director
Duties include overall leadership, administrative & managerial responsibility for the programs and mission-driven activities statewide. The Executive Director is the chief executive officer of the corporation and serves under the authority, and as the agency of, the Board of Directors. Duties include: 1) provide staff services to the Board & serve as its primary agent; 2) provide overall administrative and managerial leadership of the agency; 3) provide human resources support; 4) actively participate in donor engagement & development; 5) assure fiscal accountability; 6) serve as principle liaison between Catholic Charities and community partners & parishes.
Requirements:
  • MSW or related human service professional degree from an accredited academic institution; will consider yrs of experience equivalent to Master's Degree on case-by-case basis;
  • At least 5-7 yrs experience in multi-disciplined social service organization;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of & commitment to the social teachings of the Catholic Church & active participation in a Catholic faith community;
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and leadership skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and public speaking
  • Knowledge and skills in human resource mgmt, fiscal mgmt, social service planning, and resource development.

Development and Communications Coordinator
Seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Development and Communications Coordinator to assist the Board of Directors and Executive Director in developing an overall resource development/communications plan. Provide strategic and operational support and leadership with significant experience in cultivating and expanding the organization's donor base and revenue opportunities, as well as foster a culture of philanthropy within the agency to assure the organization's systems and procedures support fund development and public relations. Identify, evaluate, and cultivate prospective funders. Coordinate direct mail solicitations and appeals. Plan and coordinate resource development projects and special events. Coordinate the production of informational and promotional pieces/publications for the agency. Maintain database of donors/contacts; process acknowledgement letters.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in an accredited program or equivalent experience;
  • 2-3 years development and communications experience;
  • 1+ years management experience;
  • at least 2 years experience and knowledge in data base programs;
  • ability to learn donor database software.

Finance Manager
"Hands-on" Finance Manager needed for a statewide non-profit agency. The position reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with the board of directors and its finance committee on financial matters. Responsible for all functional areas of accounting: A/R, A/P, PR, FA, and the general ledger. This position is responsible for the fiscal function and oversight for all agency grants. This includes timely submission of grant reimbursements, financial compliance reporting, grant cost allocations, maintaining grant files, assisting in the grant proposal process, and internal reporting of grant spending activity. Develops annual budget in coordination with the Executive Director, agency management team, and the baord of directors. Responsible for monthly and quarterly financial statements, forecasting, and financial analysis. Establishes and maintains accounting practices, controls, and reporting to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations. Manages the annual external audit process and prepares the annual IRS 990 tax return.
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management; non-profit background strongly preferred;
  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  • Experienced in accounting applications; fund accounting software experience strongly preferred;
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and proficient in MS office products;
  • Federal and state grant management experience; knowledge of cost allocation principles and Circular OMB-133 strongly preferred;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Must be highly organized with superior attention to details;
  • Decision-making skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members;
  • Experience managing staff.
