Peddle Past Poverty

Peddle Past Poverty, a community cycling event benefitting Catholic Charities of Idaho in the fight to end poverty.

Catholic Charities USA and Catholic Charities of Idaho have a goal to end poverty in the United States and Idaho by the year 2020.  In an effort to call attention to and eliminate the root causes of poverty in Idaho, Catholic Charities of Idaho has initiated a fundraising event, Peddle Past Poverty.  All proceeds for Peddle Past Poverty will fund Family Strengthening services designed to create educational opportunities and guidance for families seeking pathways out of poverty. 

In an effort to raise awareness on issues surrounding economic disparity, Peddle Past Poverty will include a local children’s race, viewing of a short film depicting a family living on minimum wage, community poverty simulation, and a long distance race from Eagle, Idaho to Lewiston, Idaho.

Major sponsors and individual pledges for long distance and children’s rides are needed.  Help make the eradication of poverty by 2020 possible by pledging your support today.
