Do you struggle with feeling disconnected from yourself and others? Do you put your needs at the bottom of the to-do list?
It takes a lot to decide to seek therapy, and I'm so glad that you're doing it! Many clients may be nervous about trying therapy for the first time. I honor this and will put these clients at ease and make them feel like welcome guests in my home. Life is complicated, and so are we; in my work, I meet people when they are feeling confused, hurt, angry, or overwhelmed by life's complications. Allow me to be your source of support, patience, and encouragement in these moments. My passion is serving those seeking fulfillment, healing, and more joy in their lives. Through the therapeutic process, I aim to empower individuals to discover and utilize their strengths to overcome obstacles and struggles. My approach to psychotherapy is dynamic, creative, and aligned with each unique individual's needs. I allow individuals to guide the therapy process while I assist in providing insight, feedback, and encouragement. I aim to help you find a place within yourself where you can be honest, locate your inner resiliency, and strengthen your ability to cope in a healthy manner. As a third-year Bellevue University intern working toward a master's in clinical mental health counseling, I enjoy working with people of all ages, people with developmental disabilities and their families, as well as individuals who have experienced trauma and abuse. I am a passionate disability advocate, having served on the Idaho Council on Developmental Disabilities, as President of the Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association, and as a mother to a child with Down syndrome. I have extensive experience with those with special needs and have helped many individuals with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential. My greatest passion is helping people to find not only the gifts within themselves but within each other. |
