A Future Without Fear

In 2016, a young mother came to CCI seeking help renewing her DACA status. Behind that simple request was a story of unimaginable courage. After surviving severe domestic violence and protecting her daughters by contacting law enforcement, she began the lengthy process of applying for a U Visa. Nearly nine years later, she finally received the news she had been waiting for—her application had been approved. Today, she is raising her three daughters in safety, giving back through her community, and looking toward permanent residency with hope. What once seemed impossible has become the foundation for a secure future.
