Angela Magnani-Wood had a passion for cats. She had four of her own and still made time to love and feed every neighborhood cat that came her way. But Angie was especially known for the way she helped people in need. Her life was filled with daily acts of love and kindness to others, and sometimes truly heroic deeds. Once she drove a woman, whom she just met, to a domestic violence shelter to escape physical abuse. Another time she helped a diabetic coworker in a coma get to the hospital in time to save his life.
The name Angela means "messenger of God." That was truly Angela Magnani-Wood. She was a messenger of God's tenderness and concern for the most in need and vulnerable.
Angela sadly passed away from cancer at age 33 in 2010.
As a living memorial to Angie's life, the Angela Magnani-Wood CCI Memorial Fund was created by her parents, Seeley and Marianne, in 201I. This fund supports the work of Catholic Charities in eastern Idaho.
"Angie's money" continues to make Christian love and miracles happen every day here in Idaho, just like Angie did. Those we serve are grateful for this gift. And so are we, as we proudly carry forward Angie's legacy.
