Eleven years ago, after faithfully ministering to the needs of Idaho families as a Catholic priest, Father Francisco Godinez-Torres, or Father Pako, sought out CCI to help him become a Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States. Ten years later he came back to CCI for help with his green card renewal.
With the encouragement and support of our immigration staff, Fr. Pako then decided to take the final step and become a US citizen.
After navigating the challenges and complexities of the immigration system, in November 2023, with CCI staff in attendance, Fr. Pako took the oath of allegiance at the USCIS office in Boise, ID and became a citizen of our country. Fr. Pako's long journey to citizenship is an example of the American dream and the power of CCI support, compassion, and care.
