We're actively recruiting volunteers in Pocatello!
We have a special need for volunteers in Pocatello, working with our refugee resettlement program. CCI’s Afghan Placement Assistance (APA) program is an intensive case management effort that recognizes "It takes a village." Our Afghan newcomers are arriving quickly and CCI is seeking assistance from all who would like to welcome and support them.
Catholic Charities of Idaho cannot deliver on our promise to share God’s love with all in need by providing services and programs that support human well-being, without a strong group of volunteers to help us. If you enjoy serving others and love people from all cultures and backgrounds, this might be the place for you to invest your spare time.
We accept volunteers from many walks of life, cultural backgrounds, and socio-economic strata. Whether you're a BSU student, a retiree, a veteran, or new to our community looking to get to know your neighbors, as long as you have a heart for service, a valid driver's license and are at least 18 years old, we can put you to work!
As a volunteer you could:
become a client advocate
volunteer for administrative tasks in the office
become a community outreach warrior -- help us get the word out
provide transportation for refugees
support specific events that happen throughout the year
provide language/cultural orientation and support to refugees and immigrants
